Of course, Airplane was just the beginning of their journey, but that is what this show is all about. Some movie details – It was made with only a $3.5MM budget but grossed over $170MM. In the years since its release, the film's reputation has grown substantially. Airplane! has been ranked (for those who do the ranking) consistently in the top 5 funniest movies of all time. Also, In 2010, the film was even selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant". Talk about comic heights!
